Our framed canvas is a 38mm stretched canvas within a traditional picture frame. The simple addition of a wooden picture frame creates a completely new form of wall art, quite distinct to a standard canvas. The thin frame sits approximately 5mm from the edge of the canvas helping create a floating border. Highly recommended for photography and images that make a real statement.
About the artist:
Colette Staes Born in 1940 into a large family in ST Gilles, Brussels. Her studies in Geo Sciences guided her towards an art school in which she was immersed in an atmosphere of color and imagination. At the end of her career, she began drawing lessons in the private studio of Geneviève Gailliard, daughter and granddaughter of renowned Belgian painters, and for more than 15 years she explored themes to animate her creativity. With her husband, Belgian Artist François De Lievre, she participates in numerous artists' tours organized by the municipality of Uccle. She continues her artistic activities in her private studio
