Colette Staes

Born in 1940 into a large family in ST Gilles, Brussels.  Her studies in Geo Sciences guided her towards an art school in which she was immersed in an atmosphere of color and imagination.

At the end of her career, she began drawing lessons in the private studio of Geneviève Gailliard, daughter and granddaughter of renowned Belgian painters Jean-Jacques and Franz Gailliardand; for more than 15 years she explored themes to animate her creativity.

With her husband, Belgian Artist François De Lievre, she participates in numerous artists' tours organized by the municipality of Uccle.

She continues her artistic activities in her private studio.
